Menatelecom, the most innovative telecommunications provider in the Kingdom of Bahrain and an investment subsidiary of Kuwait Finance House (Bahrain) has announced its continued support for Manama Basketball team for another successive year.

A delegation from Manama Club Basketball team visited Menatelecom’s premises for the signing ceremony; the delegation included Manama Club’s Chairman Mr. Zuhair Kazerooni, Mr. Jassim Redha – The Secretary General and Mr. Fouad Al Abbasi – Head of the Bahrain Basketball Association.

Mr. Abdul Razak Jawahery, Executive Manager at Kuwait Finance House (Bahrain) and Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Menatelecom commented, “Since its inception, Menatelecom has supported the local community with a focus on the youth sector through the endorsement of sports, arts and education. As a company, we will continue on our path as a socially responsible corporate citizen and make every effort to provide our youth with all the support they need.”

Menatelecom has proudly sponsored the Manama Basketball Team since 2007 and during this period the team has returned with many victories and achievements including the National Cup. By extending the sponsorship agreement for another year the aim is to develop the team further towards reaching sporting excellence in the Kingdom.

During the signing ceremony, Mr. Jawahery added, “Manama Basketball Team continues to make us proud and we will continue our support while wishing them every success in their matches to come”. Mr. Zuhair Kazerooni, Manama Club Chairman commented, “Menatelecom’s continuous support is a source of pride for the Manama Basketball Team members. It has helped facilitate and promote social partnership between the commercial and youth sectors while embracing the potential of today’s youth. This is a partnership we feel will last for a very long time.”

Mr. Kazerooni also applauded Menatelecom’s admirable position and expressed Manama Basketball Club’s gratitude for Mr. Abdul Razak’s unwavering support over the past years.
