As part of Menatelecom’s continued investment in their WiMAX 16e network expansion, Menatelecom have awarded the 2012 - 2013 Managed Services contract to “Huawei Technologies”.

Huawei Technologies will join global giant Tech Mahindra in Managing Menatelecom’s cutting-edge WiMAX 16e network and ensuring that Menatelecom continues to provide the most powerful internet services in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The official signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Abdulhakeem Al Khayyat, CEO and Managing Director of Kuwait Finance House – Bahrain and Chairman of Menatelecom, Senior Executives from Menatelecom along with Huawei Middle East (M.E.) regional representatives; Mr. Stephen Yi, President and Mr. Gorden Wu, Vice President.

The agreement will enable Menatelecom to continue the expansion and development of its WiMAX network with advanced voice and broadband services; for both consumers and enterprises across the Kingdom of Bahrain. With Huawei’s high-tech and forward thinking capabilities, Menatelecom will be ideally positioned to further develop advanced services for its customers in Bahrain.

Commenting on the latest “Managed Services” contract Mr. Abdulhakeem Al Khayyat commented, “Since the launch of its WiMAX services, Menatelecom has had the unique opportunity of significantly contributing towards the development of the Kingdom’s technological advances and make a significant mark on a global scale while at the same time creating a prosperous telecom business. As technology continues to evolve and our customer base continues to increase, this agreement will allow Menatelecom to continue enhancing its internet services with more features and more capabilities in accordance with its vision and mission to provide the most powerful internet services to its clients in the Kingdom of Bahrain

Menatelecom’s solutions include high-speed internet access with unlimited downloads and dedicated speeds up to 150 Mb in addition to VPN solutions; Carrier Pre-Select Service (CPS); International Private Leased Circuit (IPLC); Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) and Data Centre Hosting to name a few of the solutions offered. All these services are enhanced and monitored by a Network Operations Centre working 24/7 to ensure a seamless operation, supported by a Call Centre managing customer queries, in addition to a dedicated Business helpdesk for corporate customers.
