Mr. Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat, Managing Director and CEO of KFH-Bahrain and Chairman of Menatelecom, in a display of worldwide recognition; Menatelecom was presented with the Internet Service Provider of the Year Award 2009 at the annual CommsMEA Awards ceremony held in Dubai on Monday. CommsMEA is the leading telecommunications opinion leader in the Middle East and Africa.

The prestigious ISP of the Year Award recognizes the Internet Service Provider that has driven Internet penetration rates and its own subscriber base by providing excellent connectivity and innovative packages to attract users. The awards were judged by a high profile panel of telecommunication experts who selected from the best ISP’s in the Middle East & Africa; among the nominees for this award were Mobily, Zain and others.

CommsMEA Awards set out to celebrate and pay tribute to the telecoms industry professionals and operators that have shown outstanding performance and results in key market segments.
